Well, you could say that OS4.1 Classic is completely pointless, as so much software for OS4 is written for higher spec machines. You could also say that you don't use your Amiga much any more so it's waste of time.
However, we're all a bit bonkers for using such old hardware, I think (he says, while trying to get Windows installed on his A1500/Goldengate that's been misbehaving), so I say:
DO iT!
Worst that can happen is you don't like it, in which case you sell it on for not much less than you paid for it.
Personally I own 4.1 on my NextGen systems, and 4.0 on my Classic, but as soon as I get money, it's getting 4.1.
