I'd recommend using SFS for at least some of the partitions - when writing files particularly it's orders of magnitude faster at times, though you can probably tweak it to be better with FFS.

I'm very happy with my Classic AmigaOS 4.0, BTW. Speed and reliability both excellent (standard 604e@200 128MB RAM, Voodoo III on Prometheus, Deneb). It's only the RAM limitation that's a problem.

Having said that my XE gets more use, naturally. :)
