That's really not true.
Loads of people don't know how to use Amigas any more and wouldn't know where to start.
I buy a lot of "as is" stuff on eBay and very rarely have they been broken. Just stick to the same rules as buying
anything on eBay, which is: if you're not sure, only buy from a seller with high feedback.
If necessary, email the seller and ask directly why it's not been tested. If they don't give a good answer, go elsewhere, but generally people just don't know how or can't do it.
