There should be a paper clip image in the right hand corner to indicate there is a binary in the message, click on it and "Save as" then save it,
If however you see lines of mad text you might need Yenc or UUencode to make it in to a file.
If you download loads of files from newsgroups like i do then download a dedicated program like
Grabit.
