Does anyone know of a status for this project? It would be nice to have a good and modern word processor for AmigaOS. I'm hoping for news or even a release at AmiWest this year.

Well, maybe something will be mentioned about the status of the LibreOffice project at AmiWest this year.

I searched around and did find a good word processor for AmigaOS. I found Abiword. It runs under AmiCygnix. It's slow on my laptop, but it would probably work better if I had a faster laptop as my AOS4.1fe is emulated. I have a copy of AmigaWriter 2.2, but it doesn't correctly import RTF files. So I may use Abiword until a native solution is available.

I'm watching the live stream from AmiWest. Thanks to Trevor for answering the question. In short: technical problems encountered in LibreOffice that have been overcome. Projected first part of next year.
