I'd like to have a modern Amiga that costs about what I paid for my A1200: around US$400. Provide an expansion port to upgrade the processor and add an expansion option for the GPU, too.

This leads me to the question. With modern day mass production and electronics as comodities, why can't Amiga hardware be made available for the same prices as they used to be? Particularly the price levels of the A500, A1200, A600?

There's an old saying here in the States. It starts with the following:
"Wish in one hand........"
I'll let someone else finish it for you. ;)
