ElZorro : forgot to tell you something about the scsi. If you want to use only an external scsi harddrive which is attached to your Blizzard 12340/4 then I think that your theoretical maximum is 8 Gb and not 4 Gb. The 4 Gb refers to the limit of the internal IDE port. In other words, if you can buy a cheap 9 Gb scsi hd then you can use the first 8 Gb without using any patch at all !! By the way, using only an external hd and leaving the internal IDE port empty will surely result in a speed increase as loading through the scsi controller will take a lot of load of the processor  :-D
