In my opinion and experience (see my sig LOL) I think ALL of the Amigas are of high quality.  The only disadvantage is that on the newer cost reduced models the chips are surface mounted, so harder to replace.  Other than that, all Commodore gear was very well constructed.  I own almost all of 'em and they all work fine decades later.  I actually like the 3000 and 4000's the most.  I find the 2000 too big and bulky (that is why it is heavier, not because it is better Doomy!)  The 2000 is hugh compared to the 3000 and 4000.  Nice machine to upgrade, but the architecture is lacking compared to the 3000/4000. (Try getting a SCSI HD working with 32bit RAM, what a pain in the arse!)  I myself prefer the 4000D.

@BoingBoss

Well I do know what I am doing.  I am an Amiga Expert after all, see my sig :P  I have a A2000 with a A2630 and DKB 2632 with 112MB 32-bit Fast RAM.  I cannot DMA to the RAM on the DKB.  I have to use the 2MB Chip and 2MB on the A2091 for it to work with a hack.  Unacceptable.  With the Zorro III Amigas this is not an issue.  For this simple fact the A3000/4000's are better. ;)
