Yes thats true, you cannot drag the screen down and see other screens behind it like on native chipsets.

Don't think people are breaking them.  There are plenty out there for sale, check eBay/CL/forum for sale sections.

Also IMHO Amiga keyboards/mice are much better quality than moden versions.

If you are looking for a rare as hens teeth keyboard, you are after the red A keys or C= key keyboards.  ;)
