First off welcome! We are all a bunch of Amiga fanatics so it is nice to see another one join the circus!
Now please remove that leaking battery and replace it with a NiMh or better yet a Lithium coin cell (see aminet for Lithium Hack) or you may be sorry. The A4000's are notorius for getting damaged due to minor acid leaks from the battery. (RTC clock will fail and SIMM slots will also fail)
