RCS Fusion Forty owners I need you help
« on: January 28, 2006, 10:35:26 PM »
I got a Rev 2.0 card and installed a XC68040RC25B chip and it seems to be ok.  I install the card in my A2000 and when I turn on I get a cool looking RCS Fusion Forty screen saying it is maping the Kickstart!  It then boots normally.  But is still slow and when I check the CPU via SysInfo it says 68000!  With the switch in the other position (when turned off of course!) it simply boots normal in 68000 mode so I assume that is the 68000 fallback mode.  So should it show as a 68040 when it boots up or do I need to run software?  I did read I need to run a program to get the memory mapped.  Just not sure if I got it installed correctly.

OK I got the latest driver disk and it will not let me install it!  I get an error when it tries to copy SetFF.  So I manually copied all the files and got it to partially work.  It shows up as a 68040 with Sysinfo.  Then when I try to add the memory with SetFF ADDMEM it adds it but right when I try to do something I get a crash.  Seems the DMA or something might be wrong with my HD.  I have a GVP Series II card and a 2GB SCSI HD.  Any ideas?
