I also had the dilema of what to install in the 2nd 3.5" slot.  I had a Zip-100 for a while but decided I needed a 2nd floppy drive instead.  Since my original drive is a Chinon FZ-357A, I decided to stay Chinon and adapted a Chinon FZ-357 1.44MB PC drive for use with the Amiga!  Works perfectly and even does a disk change!  Here is a pic:
