A600 no sound

I got a A600 that seems to have no sound.  When I turn the volume up real loud I can hear the sound very faintly.  Any ideas?

I will check the MB for any leakage.  Is it even worth trying to get this repaired?  I will not be able to do this on my own.

I bought 2 600s this year.  The first one does not work.  Black screen with all LEDs on.  Tried everying, even swapped ROMs.  The last one works but has no sound.  I just opened it up.  It was a virgin!  It looks real clean inside, no leaking caps or anything.  I will snap a scan with my digital camera tonight.  Its a shame as this 600HD is real nice and clean.  It also came in a MINT box with all manuals and disks.  Well at least now I have one complete MINT 600HD that works, but 2 that are dead... It seems to me there are a lot of 600s that crap out?  I guess Doomy is right, as far as the 600 is concerned.
