Yeah, UAE started out on linux, then dos, then windows. But the Windows port took off and advanced so fast and so far in its features that it has come the other way now. E-UAE is an attempt to take some of the features from WinUAE and bring them back to the other ports, mostly linux.

I don't know what functionality the OS X port has. OS X is based on freeBSD and netbsd unix though isn't it? It probably has everything the linux version has.
