There are also SBC (single board computers) as fast as Pentium 4 or Xeon you could stick in your Amiga; but this isn't really emulating; there is no interaction whatsoever between that SBC and the Amiga. Using a KWM switch however; it is pretty fun to use a fast Windows XP machine from within your Amiga :)

have you done this? if so what type sbc did you use. i was going to get an sbc on ebay to mess around with, including putting it in my amiga 3000. i tried to do a little research on the net for the best type but i couldnt find much.
in particular i was thinking of modding a 3d modeller and animation setup i have and providing a hook for povray, so that some stuff for the modeller etc ran on the sbc.
i would use ethernet, or if i had to parnet of some type, to send data back and forth. although parnet would be pretty slow.
Oh yeah?!?
Well your stupid bit is set,
and its read only!
