i have a nec 3d monitor that i have used for quite a while that works really well. the only thing i would consider a problem would be the noise and distortion that happens for a split second when you change video modes. most older monitors do that. many 5 to 10 yrs old monitors blank the video then you hear a click as the monitor switches. newer monitors dont do that as much. this monitor also doesnt have speakers but a 25 watt pc set and 5 dollar adapter take care of that though.
