Well first off you need to set some jumpers on the A3000. If you go to
www.dcecom.net you can get the manual for the MK III which will list the jumpers for you. You also need to do some modification to get the ram to configure correctly. Here is a clip from the bog book of amiga hardware page stating that.
"NB. If you install this an any A3000 series amiga (inc T,UX etc) then you require a slight modification to the motherboard.
Auto Memory Config (configures as one contiguous block)"
