There's always a way round it anyway. If not, the hackers will soon see that there is.
I had a friend of mine install XP pro on his spare system and use a pirate key. It works with one problem. Windows update is broken with it. To test and see if this was the case he did a rollback of a day and the SP2 was gone. Windows update worked again. Install the SP2 and its broke again. Good way to knock out the pirates I say! Gives the impression all is okay untill you need to get the must have fixes as they come in.
