I'd much rather have something like this in my CDTV, but I couldnt pass up the price. The CDTV is nearly maxed now, but with the "new" A500+ I will be assembling when it ships out next month it will be a welcomed addition! The current 500 I have is in good shape, but not nearly as nice as the newly manufactured board will be in it!

Fair enough, although I'd rather take the "wait-and-see" approach to know that it would work for sure, and that it'd fit in the CDTV case without a lot of effort.

It physically fits mostly, but from what I've seen the case will not go on after its in and you have a CF card installed and HDMI.

Kinda pointless for a CDTV, but this ACA500plus will be amazing in my 500 and give it some life as a nice game system.

Actually, the CMOS 68000s are good overclockers, but why Jens is overclocking a 10MHz component to 14MHz is baffling when there are 20MHz parts (and those overclock as high as 32MHz).

Still, a 68000 is not going to perform anywhere near as well as a 68020 or 68030.

I'm sure he got a large batch of them for a very good price like a ot of the parts he picks. The original ACA500 contains a lot of very old parts that I had a very difficult time sourcing when attempting to repair a couple of them sent to me.

Out of complete curiousity, what kind of problems did the cards sent to you have?

In both cases the owners put them on up side down. It fried a few of the chips. One was saved the other still no luck in getting it to boot. That one was put on an A1000 the wrong way, maybe its a worse situation on them?

kirk_m, I am not talking about boards. I am talking about the Cases for the boards. Just read on a german commodore forum that there is a clear plexiglas case planned for release soon but not exactly sure when. CASES you understand not BOARDS, CASES CASES CASES is the subject of discusssion here!!! :insane:

will this work on an A1000 same as the ACA500 did?

No reason it shouldnt.  Just dont plug it in upside down. The CF slots would face back away from you too I believe. Ive  had to fix two from A1000 deaths,  original ACA500 though. One never worked again,  other did.
