I got two things I would love to get help with.

1. I got two HDs connected to my Amiga and the second one cant be formatted. When I do it and it tries to finish it, it says that it is a non-dos disk.
I use WB2. The bad thing is that I cant see the disk on the desktop so I dont know how to format it. :(
Are there anything I can write in CLI to format the HD? It is the second one fyi.

2. What program should you use in order to unpack *.adz files from the Amiga to a disk?

Are your hard drives 3.5", If the are, have you set them up as master/slave via the jumpers on the drives?.

Also some makes of drive do not work together on the same ide cable. :-?

Hope this helps.

I have more info so you guys maybe can help me.

The HD is a 60mb one and it worked earlier together with the "boot"-hd. I think there became some errors on the HD and after that I tried to format it in WB 1.3.

When I type info it dosnt say that it is mounted. It seems as if I need to do some sort of repair using a third-party program. I dont hear the HD power up because of the fuzz the working on makes. I am fairly sure it does start up since it worked before and I havnt altered any jumpers, cables or other hardware stuff.

I hope someone could manage to find a solution. I also post on several forums but so far Ive had the most luck here.

Which drive is it that is giving you the problem, The 10mb or the 60mb?

Just my opinion, But if it`s the 10mb hard drive, Is it really worth all that trouble in trying to get it working.

It is possible to get hard drives much larger that for only a few pounds.

For instance, I checked on ebay and found this Hard drive, Maybe more than you want to spend, If you want to spend anything at all, But it`s just an idea.

Also if you are interested, I have 2 2.5" hard drives that are of no use to me anymore, One 60mb Seagate (working) and one 120mb Quantum (not working).

Hi Marcus,

Have you tried the problem drive on it`s own, On the the cable to see if it is recognised by HDtoolbox?.

Just a thought.
