Bill Gates is one of the best people around today.

I'd like to think he is a changed man.

... I'm not in any position to really judge him over it all anyway so I'll just leave it all to God...

My sentiments, too.  

Bill does more than give extraordinary amounts of money.  He remains involved with the issues he is trying to solve.  He monitors the money and directs it to continually ensure the greatest results.  I should invest my energies as well.

Remember the pie in the face incident?  I DL'ed it with enthusiasm when it first came out.  After watching it, I sort of felt sorry for Bill.

It's easy to vilify Bill & Microsoft (I have in the past) for the state of computing.  More and more, I hold the mindless consuming masses at least as responsible for the power big business wields in the world.

Diverse opinions are pointless.  We can compute in the cloud now.  Soon we can all merge into the WWM (World Wide Mind).

I expected more people to see some of the out right and in your face warning signs that are present in the direction this world is "advancing", especially when sized up against the history of the wealthy forefathers (bankers, oil, and steel barons) of Mr. Gates himself.  Direct blood relatives none the less. ..

I'm very alarmed at the pace of change in society and what drives it.

I've never heard anything about Bill's pedigree.  

Makes a guy start to feel kind of alone, like a stranger in his own home...

Or in his city, his company, or watching the next generation.
