If I remember correctly, there are some flaws in the script that creates the Emergenct Boot floopy. I don't think it writes the required driver files for graphic cards, accelerators, etc. I had to tweak mine. It's probably better to have multiple boot partitions or better still, at least one bootable on 2 different hard drives.
