I remember ICD products being incompatible with most things as well.  I have an old AdSpeed around here somewhere.  It was a 68000 clocked at 14 Mhz, a modest speed increase when coupled with some true fast ram, next to worthless without fast ram.  I was running an A570 CD drive at the time, never found any accel. compatible with it including AdSpeed.

For what its worth, I've always thought the A500 casing looked great by itself.  If you can boost performance/function and still keep that look, it'll be very cool.

I forgot.

@ Mr A500

I would be interested in details of your modifications.  I have several A500s that I would like to develop into unique machines.

@ Mr_a500

Was it you that likes to test Dir utils?  I use Ordering on slower Amigas because it's very fast. I don't think it's deveolped anymore and has a minor bug that's easily worked around.  I think it's written in assembler, could be wrong though.  Give it a shot, its on Aminet.

Also, I've enjoyed your screen shots, inspirational!

Off topic, sorry guys.

Sinse seeing your screen shots, I've been playing with the Amigas without graphics cards for the last couple of days.  I'm looking with renewed interest at color schemes that reduce or eliminate flicker.  I've approximated one of yours and it works great in Ordering.  Thanks agsin.

I'm sure many here would love to see your latest efforts.  I would.
