I doubt that MS sees AInc as a competitor. AInc distributes games and provides a "compatibility layer" for devices running MS operating systems. Assuming that this stuff is commercially attractive, AInc is providing added value to MS products. If MS would be interested in the technology for themselves, I think they'd rather skip the middle man and go directly to the source and do what AInc does - license the stuff directly from Tao. Or just buy Tao.
