this is just a pretty name given to what we have been aware of for along time.

Yup, obviously. Also, a certain "amigammc" said on ANN that this new name for Amiga DE already was known amongst developers.

No doubt Amiga's new appointed Sales/Marketing team came up with this :) - Nice work guys, hehe.

It seems like Amiga Inc. have learnt how to preach to those who matter, with phrases like "enriching the end user experience", "content that consumers will actually pay for" and "a compelling reason for customer purchase". Finally!

Too bad they had to soil the page with another horrendous and confusing "logo". Pick a consistent, simple and elegant corporate graphic profile and stick to it for crying out loud! At least quit messing around with the well known (and beautiful IMHO) "semi-serif" Amiga logo.

I understand what he's saying. From my point of view, as a computer enthusiast, that's a pretty accurate description. From Amiga's point of view, as a company, it is of course the other way round.
To elaborate on the foodstuffs analogy; if your restaurant conglomerate can't expect to survive on your  little gourmét kitchen, you have to earn enough money from your hamburger chain or sell off/shut down the gourmét kitchen.
