have you disabled the fakenative modes in the
monitor icon
the tooltype:
FakeNativeModes=No

you might also want to disable the
BootVGA in the environment settings
setenv SAVE Picasso96/EnableBootVGA "0"
don't know if this will interfere with PAL/NTSC
at this level but...
