AI does not posess (sp?)  the technical knowledge on how to develop a operating system.  Thats why they hired the Frieden brothers to code OS4.  Nobody knows what the company is worth and you cant buy shares in AI, its not public.

They arent using the patents because they cannot make their own hardware or design it.  Again, lack of expertise.  IMO I think they are milking the Amiga name for all they can.  If you look at their software, its really cheap (in quality).   There isnt a decent game sold by them thats actually worth buying.

I'm not going to waste my time on AI's broken promises...too much to type..

They had a sort of love-hate relationship with the 'Classic' community, who they often saw as a bunch of die-hards and crackpots. Yet, when they needed money, they'd just repackage whatever was on the slab, stick some Amiga graphics on it, and be sure it'd sell to at least 1500 of those crackpots in Classic land.

that says it all from a insider.  I figured thats all that they were using the Amiga name/community for.

If it wasn't for their stupid decisions we would all be running MorphOS (which would have been renamed Amiga OS 4), or even Amithlon renamed OS4 on X86 native cpus probably by now.

That would have been the best decision ever.  Looks who's still standing?  x86 Amiga OS..plenty of hardware.  Look at MacOS, they're not doing bad on X86.  But I digress.
