You have to fine tune your screenmodes so you get a supported refresh - 60 Hz should work. I tested my screen on Windows and found out that is goes 44-54 Hz, 59-61 Hz and 74-75 Hz. After that it was much easier to edit Picasso96 modes so that my monitor began to show something. After having one working mode it's easier than in the dark...

If you have a picture when on P96 test mode you quickly see what happens if you alter the settings. By adjusting the clock (pixel clock or whatever it is) you get your vertical refresh into something your monitor can handle. As you see the working bands are narrow, maybe just a couple of Hz. I had my screenmode settings after a CRT tube hovering between 80 and 120 Hz refresh and had to lower the pixel clock lots and change some doublescan/normal/interlaced settings too to change everything into 60 (well, 59-61 accepted).

In test mode a tap on left or right arrow key with pressed down left shift key introduces small changes which may bring back/remove the picture as it is stretched/narrowed horizontally. But first you need a picture...
