On my A4000PPC/Prometheus/Voodoo3/P96/BB2 it starts to play
demo and then freezes after a couple of seconds, then
crash. Must try w/o sound next. But I can see the status  
box on the lower border now...

OK, with -nosound I could run the timedemo2 with different
screenmodes and got fps improvements from 2 to 13 (!)(640x480)
but didn't test what the older exe does with -nosound.
