IContain uses the Amiga typeface from the ESCOM aera, which to me is a mark of failure. I doubt that this will last for more than a year.

Really. The more I think about this the more nightmarish it becomes. I thought the "Walker" was a low point in AMIGA history, but this could be a reason to walk away in shame and never mention the Amiga-brand again.

Come on! An Amiga branded phone and TV? They don´t realize that Amiga really was no brand to the consumers. It was a machine. A machine that did all a PC did, but went beyond the narrow perspective of business and embraced a technology that was both efficient and effective. Not any machine with these traits, but a specific one.

Amiga is not like Apple. Amiga is not like Porsche.
Amiga is like C64. Amiga is like Coke. Amiga is like Levis 501.

You can´t sell Coke toothpaste or cereals. You can´t sell 501 bride dresses.

CUSA has an Emulator and will have something that is at least a bit like Workbench, which sounds like they are at least trying to do, what Amigas do. But calling any cell phone Amiga is just plain ridiculous.

So.. are these IContain Protected Amiga products going to contain the AAA chipset?

No, but I have it on authority that they will operate entirely on AAA batteries, which is close enough. Don´t you think?

confidant that  this new licensee will bring much to the table, and can prove very  beneficial to the overall success of the Amiga brand, and it’s vibrant  rebirth.

Beneficial to the pockets of some people, but in fact it is just misusing the brand, decreasing it´s value and finally getting much less value from it than a company with the right products would have. IContain bougt a name to sell their stuff to a market. They don´t care about the legacy.
