Ebay Inernasjonal buyers
« on: December 06, 2009, 08:34:03 AM »
Hello

I wounder if you could tell me way so few English and US sellers on Ebay can´t/will send to Norway.

I´m now looking or a macmini to install MorphOS on. And I se that it don´t cost to much on Ebay. In Norway I would have to give 177€-236€ +shipping 14€ (263$-351$+ shipping 21$).

So can sombody give me a good reson way it´s so few that are willing to send. I can´t see that my money is so bad. And i´m willing to pay for the shipping.

My wife has been trying to buy some things to, some shirts and stuff. But it´s hard to find somebody that are willing to send. Is it more work to send out of the US/UK, than sending lokalely

It's sheer laziness on the part of the seller. They either don't want to fill out a CN22 customs label (UK) or they don't know how. Many stick to sending to EU countries (or local USA) so no extra paperwork inviolved.

I for one have no problems sending to Norway, have done so many times in the past and will no doubt continue sending in the future.

Well. It´s good to now that some people will send to Norway. I was thinking it was much more paperwork or somthing. Since so few can/will do it.
And I hope more will start to do it.

UK seller mostely send. Bougth a amiga 1200 now from "Amiga Retro Experience" on Ebay. and they say they send.

But I have tryed to buy a macmini ppc from the US to a "low" pris but today I got 10 answers that they can't send. Only to the lower 48 stats....

But one day I will buy a new intel macmini and then I can take my old ppc mini away from the TV and install MorphOS on it.

Well for me It sounds like you all are willing to send around the world. And I do understand that you don't check every way to send.
But what cost alot for you maby is not that bad for sombody else.

I bougth a amiga1200 pack and "Amiga 0/I switcher unit" from GB and it was 30 £. It's about 1,5 houre work for me, before tax. But if I send the same things innland I must pay the same.
I think 70 $ for shipping is not that bad if I order from the US. But 150 is to much.
For me it's many times cheper to buy from the US pay shipping and tolls than going to the local store and buy the same products.
