UK Amiga 1084s with SCART but no 9-pin RGB
« on: November 18, 2012, 07:45:24 AM »
Guys,

Do these UK 1084s that have SCART (and a round TTL RGB connector as well - prolly used for the 128?) work with Amigas?

More importantly, do they have the same quality as a regular 1084s with a normal 9-pin RGB connector?

Is it worth getting one of these for Aamiga usage or am I better off holding for one with a 9-pin RGB model?

I'm sorry but I bet you are asking if the DB9-pin DIN is the same as the 9-pin round DIN, and yes they are

But I've read that the 9-pin round DIN is *digital TTL* and is only for the 128 and *not* the Amiga, the Amiga will have to be connected via SCART.

My worry is that the SCART connection is not as good as a DB9-pin analogue RGB connection.
