Here's my favorite for the job:

Yeah. Considered by some as unethical as cracking MorphOS to remove the registeration requirement.

@hishamk

How is it unethical to block ads?

Well, the fact that you're perusing and utilizing a site's service (be it information, forums, etc), the least you could do is not disable their pay-per-click ads, since that's what usually pays the bills for the many sites on the web (including blogs, etc).

This is different from TV ads, in which show producers and networks get paid beforehand for the ads.

Granted, some sites are not using a ppc ad model, but most are, especially niche sites like Amiga.org. Blocking them on your machine would prevent any user of your computer from every clicking on them, which is kind of unfair, considering the fun you get from the sites. Kapische?

Firefox profiles are per user. I would never click any ad anyway. Thus, how is revenue dimished?

Not everyone uses FF let alone sets FF profiles (there are ad blockers for other browsers, ya know), and not everyone is you with a completely self-assured stance of never, ever clicking on ads.

Well, the fact that I am perusing and utilizing a site's service (be it information, forums, etc), the least they could do is not disable my computer with their pay-per-click flash ads, since that's what usually connects me to sites on the web (including blogs, etc).

  Disabling my entire computer and/or crashing it, prevents any user of my computer from ever clicking on them, or doing anything else on the internet, which is kind of unfair, considering the fun I get from the internet. Kapische?

You're right, but only with regards to certain sites. I have to point out that I'm not talking about webmasters who allow irritating, infuriating, seizure inducing ads, flash banner games, one-millionth visitor lottery winner, US green card services, popups and whatnot. I usually find a positive correlation between hap-hazard, half-hearted web content and such dumb ads.

I'm talking about web sites that actually have something useful and of substance (i.e. Amiga.org). These usually have webmasters with the visitors best interest in mind. They usually only limit themselves to simple banner ads and some Google text ads.
