Hooking a parallel port device up to a SCSI adapter sounds like a very bad idea, in addition to most assuredly not working it may be able to break things.
Yes that is obvious. But this is supposed to work on Parallel or SCSI. It may not. The seller maybe just either was lying or thought since it was 25-pin Dsub that it'd work on SCSI. I doubt it though. I don't have the right adapter to hook it to my PC so I can't test it on a PC unless I get that. Of course I could hook it to the parallel port on a PC as it is, just not the SCSI. Please answer my question about why the SCSI-Install is giving me the error asking for some phantom partition called FOREACH:
see post above for this. also, i am wondering since squirrel is a PCMCIA to SCSI adapter, why does it have 2 install programs on different disks: SCSI-Install and one called Surf-install. It looks like there is 4 disks that came with this thing. Of course the one I bought didn't have any software with it so I got it from another person here. Just please if you know why SCSI-Install is asking for FOREACH: then answer. If you don't know what that is then don't. I guess I shouldn't have said I was an Amiga retard because I'm really not retarded enough to think a Parallel only device is going to work on a SCSI chain.
For most people who use Squirrel: did you do Surf-Install or did you do SCSI-Install? Did you then just run SCSIMounter and your CD drive worked? Help on this please
note: it's also got another disk that's for installing Jaz Drive devices but I'm not going to be using that of course.
