Bummer. There could be many things that could cause such behavior. I'd closely inspect all the capacitors and especially the battery on the motherboard. It's also possible an expansion board is failing or not connecting well. Heck, I've seen excessive dust cause electronics to do strange things. I'm sure she'll pull through, she just needs some TLC, that's all.  :-)
