Reinvent the OS cont
« on: June 20, 2015, 09:22:23 AM »
This is continuing from the thread where one person wanted to break all legacy compatibilty.
Firstly I thought why not just run Linux if you want something more advanced. If someone wants to do it I would be happy if there was a more 'advanced' version of Amiga OS. It would be our own Unix variant for users who want stability etc.
We could still have single core classic OS for max compatibility.

There was a lot of advanced topics you covered. Good job. Could you just pick an OS that has the most software already available?

I like the OS 9 microkernel approach. Should you have software to run on it as its ready? E.g. goal:
Networking
File manager
are some suggestions.
