If you play a lot of games the A1200 is recommended. Although I envied an A4000 in the old days, WinUAE is seriously good, high speed RTG Amiga... for nix.
If it were back in the day the A4000 would be the better option in the long run for easy upgrades. But the A1200 will probably be easiest to get parts for in 2011.

PCI board + Voodoo + Tower = A1200 with AGA and RTG. Can someone put a price comparison for the 3 systems kitted out with RTG, accelerator, USB and networking?
