"I can help fix your computer."
Once it is known that you like computers you get continually badgered by people needing help. They also assume that you know all the shortcuts and functions in Excel.
One thing I do like is shopping for parts for someone and assembling a DIY box.
"I really want this job."
Sometimes it is better to stick with an obviously easy job instead of something you 'think' might be interesting.
Something I wish someone else hadn't said: "You will never get a job if you don't do well in school."
I know of three people including myself who's schooling had no impact and (not including myself because I'm lazy) went on to great careers.
