To run workbench you need a disk labelled "Workbench" there is probably no hard drive. To navigate with out the mouse you use 'Amiga' key plus arrow or shift+amiga to click.
There should be heaps of games that work in 512k, but to do anything in Workbench you will need more ram, also a second floppy drive would be a must have upgrade.

Ok, I have got workbench running, but this doesn't seem to help anything, I have played with the mouse settings and still cannot get it work properly. I am having to navigate using the Amiga plus direction keys and select files using the mouse buttons.

What will I need to do/have to get this back to working order. I don't mind spending a little money and as fore mentioned performing internal repairs etc. I'd just like to get it in to a good usable order.

Any suggestions are welcome.

Mike.

Open up your mouse and clean it out. Check the inside isn't clogged with dust. It's an opto-mechanical mouse.
