I just received a similar proposal last night for my A3000 after the ad I put on another Amiga dedicated WEB site.
Needless to say, I immediately reported this fraud attempt to the WEBMASTER and sent a proper Email to him.

Here's his Email contents:

Hello
thanks for your reply i want you to know that i am okay with the price and that of the conditon, also the price is okay by me but i have told you that i have my own shipping i dont want you to worry about the shipping i will like you to give me your info address so i can contact my cliet to issue you a check of $5000 for the payment and > shiping, so as soon as u got the check just quickly get it cash and deduct ur own money and send the remaining balance to my shipper so < that he can use that for the neccessary arrangment of his coming for the pivk up of the item ,so i will like you to provide uraddress were < u want the check should be send to you , so that u can received the < check quickly and also i will like to have ur phone number
because as
far as the transaction goes on i will still like to discuss futher with you on phone, so if u are agree with this my item and if are intersted in selling the payment. thank get back to me as soon as u received my email with your futher information...........thanks
                                              Best Regards

By the way, HIS Email address is:

    alexandral_man_0009@yahoo.com

This is just to warn people to be very careful when replying to strange Email addresses and providing valuable personal informations, such as address and phone number or, perhaps, even Bank Account details.

Regards.
