Yes we are still working towards that release date.

What kind of shipping does that include to the USA for those that pre-ordered?

I know I got a NOS US keyboard and that came quickly fedEX i believe and even before that i ordered something and that came USPS 3 weeks later. Both were shipped around the same time.

Just thinking in this case i may want to upgrade the shipping for peace of mind and maybe some other people might consider doing the same. Also the USPS misrouted my last big Amiga purchase and it was lost for over a week. It was a 1260 and it traveled half way around the planet to be lost several miles away from its destination. :)

thanks!

Looking good, I should order one right now!

Actually come to think of if, I already did :)

The future firmware updates are the most interesting part....can anyone say chunky modes.

the specs also say "16 MBytes framebuffer, entirely addressable"

to me that means the possibility of maybe a p96 driver like on the ECS. who knows maybe even better. I wonder if that is really 16MB or 1.6

edit. i'm thinking it has to be 16 as some quick math says 1.6 could not hold a interlaced superhirez 24bit image.

hope i get it before my vacation.

The ECS indivision is very different from the aga version. Just because there is a buffer doesnt necessarily mean you can accomplish the same driver.

btw i'm sure its 16mb not 1.6

i hear ya. I agree it has to be 16 as 1.6 because 1.6 would not hold some of the video modes in 24bit. just 16MB seems massive in amiga terms.

I'm just wanting to hear more about "entirely addressable"

i'll be happy with it regardless.

An RTG driver would of course be awesome but nobody knows if this is possible or not yet.

What we *should* get though are some better AGA WB modes (higher resolution/better refresh rate) and hopefully some chunky modes which can be used for games development.

I'll be happy with it just the speedup i'll get by switching to interlace mode. Anything else is just a bonus :)

People criticize AGA for being too slow which it is, in multiscan mode, but I actually get 1.x quadra mac video speed in Shapeshifter if i run in interlace mode... just i don't want to stair at the screen, so I don't think it was that far behind Apple's video hardware of the time.

Hello,

Yes, the Indivision 1200 AGA MK2 does have 16MB of frame buffer memory.

For US customers: to upgrade your order to FedEx shipping, see the help document here:

http://www.amigakit.us/?webpage=dispatch

cool, i'm going to upgrade this weekend :)

how tall is that stuff on the top of the Indivision?. looks like there is a voltage regulator and a little silver thing. do you think it will fit under a Fast ATA IV which i now have stacked on 4 ROM sockets (2x2) ?

I think the device in the picture with it is the Lyra 2?

also i wish someone would make a cable for it that goes straight to HDMI because i'd like to use the blank for my scsi...

thanks.

I'm hoping to snag one of these, as well as an ECS model to follow.  My only concern is that I use my Blizzard SCSI module and I'll have to work out where to mount the DVI and SCSI ports.  Has anyone modified the 1200 by removing the RF adapter to use that space in the case?

I first read that as RF shielding, which yes i have removed. The modulator, no :)

i'm looking at some pictures now.. looks easy though. I think i might do that.

Nice; I suppose you don't live under Heathrow approach? ;)  I just noticed it sits where the hard drive mount goes.  I'll have to make some adjustments to my CF mounting.  I suppose that's no biggie as I've been wanting to go to a horizontal SSD card, anyway.  That would make my project $200 over-all.  Need to go sell some plasma!

I read that first as RF shielding which i did remove...

sorry :)

the modulator looks easy though.

here is a thread on it

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=40439

you know what, from the pictures i dont know if it will be wide enough for the DVI. looks like its a tight fit for the VGA! better wait before modding! i think you would need to remove the composite as well...

I expected as much.  Sometime this weekend I'll do some measuring.  Would very much like to have my 060 1200 with DVI output.

i have a 060 1200 as well.

i don't really use the scsi other than for RAM, so i guess I'll just go with the default.

Is this compatible with the FastATA 1200 MK-IV IDE Interface?

i'm hoping it will fit with 4 ROM sockets risers stacked 2x2 under the Fast ATA. I'm also using a clockport riser thing for my subway.

i'll let you know if it works.

I hope so, otherwise I'll switch back to my 4xIDE

there is a new IDE thing coming out

Has there been any info released in the purposed of the header next the toe socket?  There is a 10-pin header in the same place on the CD32/A4000 version in the same location...

*EDIT*

On closer inspection, there is a 10-pin header also on this board running the length of one of the angled sides of the board...

I believe it is so the device can be used with Atari computers.
