Hey guys,

I have an A4000 and thought I would use a SATA DVD drive connected to the Deneb via an adapter. The adapter itself is recognized fine, but I'm unsure as to how I need to configure Poseidon to mount the actual drive. Do I need to make a mountlist and stick it to DosDrivers/, or should the drive be mounted automatically? At the moment when I put a disc in, the drive does spin up and appear to do something, and there is clearly some CPU load apparent in Workbench, but I never get a volume icon.

Thanks!

Your first step is to make sure you have some sort of CD file-system installed. 3.9 will come with one.... I'm not sure which one I installed on my 3.1.. It may have been CacheCDFS

I don't believe you need a mountlist. in devs/dosdrivers(or possibly storage/dosdrivers which you should move to /devs/dosdrivers)  you should have an icon like CD0 or CD1 or something. Select "info" on that icon and configure the tooltypes. you probably just need to set the device and device #.

I was able to get use a USB CD-ROM working with my subway. I later switched to to a SATA drive because its much faster, but you have a Denab which is really nice hardware :)
