The PC I'm running WinUAE is an Asus EeePC. It's got an 1.6 GHz Intel Atom CPU and 1 GB of RAM. I'm running Windows XP.

my netbook has the dual core 1.6 atom and 2GB RAM and nvidia ION and Windows7. its really too slow for UAE and you'll need to increase the frame skip to get the sound to settle down.

the atom cpu's are really not well suited for UAE for demos and gaming. My audio even chokes on state of the art demo which runs on a 500 with 1 floppy?

Oh, also i'll add that with the RTG and JIT anabled you can run programs like TVpaint and Photogenics and Personal paint on your netbook just fine. I just say that as you mention liking dpaint. Dpaint V also supports RTG but its still limited to 256 colors.

If you want a netbook sized computer that is capable of running WINUAE full speed look at the Alienware M11x.

But for displaying demoscene stuff RTG won't work - demo stuff almost always needs the native chipset.

And the few that will use RTG are probably also going to be compiled for PPC thus incompatible with uae
