I run the floppy cable to both, but I route wire 10 (DS0) to a DPST switch.
That way, I can run either the GOTEK or the internal floppy as DF0, if I ever want to use real disks..

You can buy them pre flashed on ebay (£40 vs £20), but there are legal issues with selling them this way

Can this be used within Workbench? And how many floppy drives can it emulate at one time?

S0 = DF0 / S1 = DF1 => so, I suppose only 2 GOTEK

Nice and clean work. This Gotek thingy is real savior. How do you cut the USB opening?

He drilled a few small holes and then expanded with the tool DREMEL.

Also, apparently multiple drives thru 1 GOTEK is possible in firmware, but it will require some soldering (I'm assuming something about the DS0 and DS1 lines).

I've ordered my second unit!
A friend of mine reported to me that there is a little problem: the original floppy disk drive (DF1) with a Gotek (DF0) = you can't format a disk on DF1!
I must check!

Got my Gotek drive and 4gb stubby USB stick. Just waiting on my USB RS232 to TTL 3v Cable to arrive.

Then Flash...arrhh arrgh.
