Amiga "Compatible" floppy Drive?
« on: March 20, 2009, 04:00:48 AM »
I see a lot people put up on ebay PC Floppy Drives and add in the description Amiga compatible.  I saw this one listed - Mitsumi Newtronics 3.5" floppy drive, model D359T5 - but can't find anything about it to confirm the posters comment. I messaged him about the claim of being amiga compat, but a day later no response...

I have and Amiga 500 that needs a new internal drive - I took one out of a known working 500 and it works fine... but the one it came with just whistles loud and quits.  Any info or links to current drives that can be made to work with ease?

Thanks,
Mike Valverde

The D359T5 can be converted to a Amiga compatible drive. I have a bunch of them lying around, I think they are quite good.

Okay... How?  Thanks!
