ah ha very likey the prob ive found  a 3.1 install disk with a startup on it will use that carnt be much diff

i used to edit the startups years ago no prob its jus slowly all comin back maybe the floppy failed to rewrite a new  startup (floppy hardware fault)

i still remember never chooseing
beginer mode because i like to see whats goin on and if u make a mistake u know about it

but before i do a new floppy drive that works will be sourced

in the meantime
maybe i can read the install script an atempt it manualy

many thanks for restoreing my amiga faith

like lazarius disks my floppy will live again cheers!! :-D

usin winuae adf files  jus copied the startup from a 3.1 install to the ofending 3.0 install
worked a treat
so me thinks ill jus bash it in manually on the real amiga no prob

keyboard stoped workin when i was typin then a smell burnin
was reachin for the power cable switch pronto pitifff flash
power supply had enough plugs an old a500 psu in an hey theres the old kick screen an keyboards ok now

the power supply is  real cheapo pc job i wired it years ago so no surpise there

jus found a nice 400 watt at supply with temp senser 2xfans an long leads like its from a big tower

cool will fix it tomorow

maybe thats why the drive couldernt write not enough  juice
no harm in hoping cheers again !!!
