Thanks for the recommendations people, but it seems most of you missed the fact I was after non mainstream/non commercially successful games as Ive played all the usual suspects (including scummvm/sarien games). Thanks to those who did answer my actual question  

These should do! -> DTO Soft in HOL

Adventures set in the same universe include Starbase 13, Experiment, Entity... they all should be in the games/role section of Aminet.
