internet connection through serial?
« on: February 16, 2009, 09:06:03 PM »
Hello!

I have now successfully hooked up my A500 to my pc, with amiga explorer... Its such a nice program, and works so great, i couldnt belieave it when i read about it :)

Well, after reading a bit, it seems like you could get a simple tcp/ip connection through the serial with amiga explorer?

Maybe even run a simple irc-program or something?

That would just be awsome! But maybe its not possible?

Hello everone! It seems like there is very many ways to do this.

As i understand not too simple to make it work on a a500.

But i have just got my A600HD up and running. KS 3.1 wb 3.1 installed on the HD!

What approach should i take to install a tcp/ip connection through serial on that beast?

Then you say, buy a PCMCIA card! but no! thats no sport!:)

And never mind the speed. i wont run any beefy webapplication. Just maybe irc-clients and instant messages!

Thanks!
