next whdload question "NDOS"?

im trying to install some games that are NDOS but whdload is having problems saying the disk has a checksum error. i vaguely remember being able to "fix" these rubbish bootblocks with xcopy but its been 10 years or so and im a bit rusty,
any help appreciated
