I second the just leaving it be... I know on my Indivision it seemed to take a few days to settle into place. Some odd issues at first but then it was fine.
For your setup, it certainly sounds like a thermal issue and messing with it runs the risk of making it worse. Just consider the first few minutes warm up time, and treat her like a historic car. ;-)
